Magic City Boxing / Programs

Three doors into the same room.

People come to a boxing gym for very different reasons. We stopped pretending otherwise and built separate paths, so nobody ends up in the wrong class on their first night.

Boxing Fitness: beginner boxing classes in Orlando, no contact

Beginner friendly, all levels, no contact and no sparring. Evening classes Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 7:00 PM in East Orlando, with strength and conditioning on Tuesday and Thursday included with membership.

A class is heavy bags, mitts with a coach, footwork, and conditioning. You learn stance, guard and how to actually throw a punch, on the bags and on the pads. Nobody hits you. Most people who join have never boxed before, and you will not be thrown in with anyone.

Your first class is $25 and we put gloves and wraps on you for it. Join and that $25 comes off your registration.

The Athlete Pathway

For people who want to learn the sport itself and, eventually, test it. It starts with a coach evaluation rather than a sales conversation, because the honest answer about where you are is more useful than an enthusiastic one.

Sparring is earned, not requested. There are requirements, a coach signs off on them, and until then you train.

Magic Mites and youth boxing

Year round coaching built for young athletes, with mentorship alongside the boxing. Scholarships are available. Full detail on the youth program.

Executive Fight Club

A private early morning performance program for founders, executives and business owners, by application, with medical clearance required. It is small on purpose. It also helps fund the youth program, which is the honest reason it exists in a nonprofit.

Frequently asked

Do you have beginner boxing classes in Orlando?

Yes. Box Fit runs Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 7:00 PM in East Orlando and is built so a complete beginner can walk into any of them. Most people who join have never boxed before.

Can I do boxing fitness without sparring?

Yes. Boxing Fitness is no contact. It is bags, mitts, footwork and conditioning, and nobody hits you. Sparring only exists on the Athlete Pathway, and even there it is earned through fundamentals and a coach's approval rather than requested.

What actually happens in a class?

Warm up, footwork and technique, then heavy bags and mitt work with a coach, finishing with conditioning and core. Wear athletic clothes and sneakers. We provide wraps and gloves for your first session.

Do you offer youth boxing with scholarships?

Yes. Magic Mites runs year round for ages 6 to 12 at $95 a month, and the high school program is $115 a month, both plus a one time $150 registration. Scholarships are available for families who need them, and nobody is turned away from the youth program for money alone. We are a registered 501(c)(3).

How much is a trial class?

$25, with gloves and wraps provided. If you join, that $25 is credited against your registration.

Do you train amateur boxers who want to compete?

Yes. The Athlete Pathway takes you from fundamentals through a coach evaluation to controlled sparring and, if you want it, USA Boxing registration and amateur competition. Our coaches are USA Boxing certified and Coach Miguel Cruz fought professionally at 18-1 with 13 knockouts.

Personal Training

One to one coaching, 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM daily, by appointment only. This is the option for people who want the work built entirely around them: a specific goal, an injury to train around, a schedule that will not survive an evening class, or simply a preference for learning without an audience.

Tell us what you are after and we will match you with the right coach and a time that holds.

Rent the gym

The floor is available to rent. It is a working boxing gym rather than a function room, which is exactly why people book it: a full size ring, heavy bags and speed bags, open training areas, a locker room and a Bluetooth sound system, in an industrial space that photographs well.

It is used most often for film and photo shoots wanting a real boxing environment, and for fitness events and private training sessions.

Every booking funds the youth program.
